Team Summit visits Utah

Last weekend the riders of Team Summit traveled from California to Utah for 4 days of carnage, big air, huge climbs, and plenty of laughs. We spent the weekend filming for Boondockers 6 and Elevation: Season 5.
Kris Kaltenbacher aka ‘Smasher,’ Shane Kelley, and Jesse O’Rourke took advantage of the softer snow in the Utah backcountry to hit some big drops and jumps. Anthony Oberti, Jeff Teeter, Jacob ‘Billygoat’ Moren, and Brian Smith tore up the hills—climbing some ridiculous chutes and technical tree lines.
A few lessons of the trip-
1. Any time you get the Boondockers crew and Team Summit together, crazy things will happen.
2. Despite popular opinion, Anthony Oberti can sidehill.
3. Smasher can sidehill much better than Oberti.
4. Never try to out-jump Rick Barker…
5. ABS avalanche packs may also be useful when your sled is rolling over you.
6. Phatty’s house is currently being fumigated after hosting a dozen snowmobilers for the weekend.
7. What do you do when your trailer tire explodes on the way to riding and you don’t have a spare? Ask Phatty.
8. Jeff Aiello missed out.

You are a funny guy Dan dont forget that you never did really put up a good challenge for us to do our sidehilling. Funny post though really. Had a great time and cant wait to come back out to the great hills of Utah. Phatty and Ryan were great hosts, and great tour guides. Thanks a bunch to the Boondockers crew.

Dan, Phatty, Rick, Ryan N, Ryan, Aaron and Jeff… man thanks a million for the opportunity to shoot with you guys and have a guide of guides to some of the most beautiful country I have ever ridden. I can’t wait to see the finished product for ’09 but if last years product is any indication it should be ouuta sight. My sincere appreciation Phatty for the put up at the Dyer Compound and your gracios roomates as well for flopping us all! Until next time….

yeah I think Strange women would be a weaker choice of words… how bout mysterious women… as I am typing on a keyboard at 1am… I thought the boys said a prayer for me LOL… that was a classic moment for sure!!

King, I saw the props thanks, responded to smasher. However I didn’t know about the strange women coming at all hours of the night, thats a new one.
as for snowrap kind of hit a wall. The theory is that if a enough people post even once a week that we will be bombarded with information and people visiting. there is only maybe 5 or six people that even have used the site even though there are over 50 individuals set up with their own site at this time. its hard for me (not a write) to write something every day to keep it moving. hopefully it will grow though. however check it out later today for some additional pics of the ride this last weekend.

So, I am Duncan Lee a North Shore Lake Tahoe native. Sled lots, and lots. And Lots. Also travel to ride other spots. Have a good bro in Ogden (Randy Sugihara) and we hit up all the utah goods. From your pics looks like we have seen the same spots. Nice!! We are headin to the rubys for the 7th 8th and 9th. If any of you guys wana come out and ride, huck, and send some shit then lets do this!! If not then maby we will see ya at sonora, castle or some buttes action. Late!!
