Several years ago I took a friend from college snowmobiling for the first time. This friend had a strong background in downhill skiing and a love of the outdoors and I had been trying for a long time to take him out snowmobiling. We recently engaged a computer / dissemination expert who suggested that we switch our weekly updates on the site from written stories to a video format. In order to fulfill this mandate we opened a ‘Youtube’ and a ‘Twitter’ account using the alias’ ‘Ericbowater’ and ‘Urbanbayman’. Thus far we have submitted fairly low key / informative video clips but I thought we might create more interest if we interspersed the postings with some action footage from our Boondockers shoots in Newfoundland. .... The snow gods smiled upon Utah this past week! Most locations picked up 4-5ft.+ of bottomless powder. It was a good weekend to have a turbo and extra gas to say the least. If you made it past the parking lot and the hordes of stuck vehicles and vintage snowmobiles, the best snow of the season was waiting. If you are heading into the backcountry, the avalanche danger is through the roof all over the western U.S. Stick to the trees and the mellow terrain until things settle out!
