The snow gods smiled upon Utah this past week! Most locations picked up 4-5ft.+ of bottomless powder. It was a good weekend to have a turbo and extra gas to say the least. If you made it past the parking lot and the hordes of stuck vehicles and vintage snowmobiles, the best snow of the season was waiting. If you are heading into the backcountry, the avalanche danger is through the roof all over the western U.S. Stick to the trees and the mellow terrain until things settle out! The only fools around here yesterday were the ones that didn’t go riding. We found 2-3ft. of new snow at the upper elevations in Utah. You know its a good day when you don’t leave until 3pm and still come back to the truck with an empty tank! Unfortunately I will be sitting out the weekend storm (Another 2-3ft. of snow forecasted…) with a broken primary clutch, so be sure to make some extra turns and jumps for me!....
