The Boondockers rider series continues with Nick Reedy. Nick is one of the newer members of the Boondockers crew. He made his debut in Boondockers 9 and started turning heads in Boondockers 10 with his impressive progression over the course of only one season. Nick grew up riding the Uinta Mountains of Utah with his dad and brother and knows the range like the back of his hand. Aside from his riding prowess, Nick also has a talent behind the computer. It’s the time of year when many snowmobilers put away the sleds and turn their thoughts to summer hobbies, despite some of the deepest snow depths of the year at high elevation and the many spring storms that still offer deep powder. The only reason I can fathom is that these kind souls want to leave the snow untouched for those of us that are still riding. Love is in the Air! The Boondockers “Think Pink” Valentines Premier in Pinedale, WY

We’re lucky to be invited out by the people of Pinedale, Wyoming to throw a movie premier to raise money for breast cancer. The event is being held by the Pinedale Snow Explorers at the Pinedale Theater, 153 Entertainment Ln. There’s gonna be raffles, door prizes, theater concensions and our favorite…an autograph session with the Boondockers Crew! Get your favorite autographs and meet the riders of Boondockers. We almost forgot…we have a bunch of Boondockers shirts, jackets and movies going into the raffle and Klim is sending us with a huge care package of swag to add to the stack too. First Tracks of the Year

Just 4 days ago I was running in 70 degree temperatures and sunny weather, that was before “Brutus.”  Starting last Friday a potent winter storm (“Brutus”) parked itself over portions of Northern Utah.  As the intial snow reports came in the sledding community was abuzz with excitement.  By the time the first foot was down, several local sledders had a mild seizure due to the over-excitement.  At the 2 foot mark, my phone started to ring with messages about riding plans for the weekend.  At this point, I held off on riding plans for the weekend, noting to my fellow riders my vast experience and citing the dangers of riding in 2 feet of powder with no base.  On Saturday, lake effect snow from the Great Salt Lake kicked into full gear and the snow totals kept climbing.  Somewhere between 3 and 4 feet, I did a 180 and changed my mind about  the dangers of riding with no base.  Suddenly I was leading the charge for a Monday ride and feverishly checking snow reports and webcams.....
