Team Riders
Rick Barker
Bio
Rick has always been the bravest member of the crew and lately his technical prowess has started to shine. He manages to pilot his turbo M7 into places that the bigger turbos shy away from. This guy is the modern mountain man-if he’s not riding powder on a sled then he’s probably out bow hunting, dirt biking, mountain biking, or fly fishing in the Utah backcountry. His occupation as a heavy equipment operator, mechanic, and body man brings a whole new meaning to the expression “Keep on trucking!” This winter Rick is dropping some of the biggest cliffs ever caught on film.

Ryan Nelson
Quick Bio
There is no doubt about it, Ryan knows how to ride deep powder. Obviously a skier in his early days, he rides with his toes and rarely makes mistakes. He makes even the most technical powder lines look easy. Watching Ryan ride is truly beautiful, his tremendous blend of rhythm and grace etch the snow like a painter’s strokes. He has graced the cover of Sledheads magazine several times and is known industry-wide for his style in the powder. Ryan is no stranger to drops and jumps either.

Geoff “Phatty” Dyer
Quick Bio
Phatty is one of the most dedicated riders on the planet. He is always the first to hit the snow in the fall and the last to hang it up in the Spring. Phatty is the definition of a well-rounded rider and he is just as comfortable flying off huge cliffs as he is pulling big chutes. You can always count on him for 6am snow reports and early morning phone calls. Phatty is a constant source of motivation for the Boondockers team and anyone he happens to cross paths with. This winter Phatty joined Team Arctic Cat and has been tearing it up on a new HCR.

Dan Gardiner
Quick Bio
Dan debuted on the video scene with an infamous 211′ record distance jump in Slednecks 4 at the age of 16 on a 2000 Polaris RMK 700. The record smashed previous attempts and lasted for several years. He has since starred in dozens of snowmobile and ski films and has appeared in almost every major snowmobile magazine His real passion has always been in the backcountry-dropping big cliffs and hitting natural jumps, riding deep powder, and boondocking. Dan balances his love for riding and film with an intense academic schedule and is currently in his second year of law school.

Kris Kaltenbacher (“Smasher”)
Bio
Smasher is best known for his role in the Team Summit video series, but he is also one of the newer members of the Boondockers team. You can’t identify him as a “hillclimber” or “jumper” or anything like that, because this guys likes to do it all. Smasher’s true riding talent comes out in the most technical spots.

Matt Entz
Quick Bio
Matt is one of the newest members of the Boondockers crew, but look for him to make a big showing in Boondockers 6. He has an incredibly aggressive style when it comes to going big and is remarkably precise in the trees and technical terrain. Never satisfied with simply dropping a cliff, Matt is constantly coming back to pass his own mark. His job as a potato farmer lends itself to a long riding season of chasing powder. He is a true sledhead and is always pushing the limit of both man and machine.

Dave Napier
Quick Bio
Dave is a mentor and role model for the entire team. A world-class photographer, he is responsible for many of the Boondockers photos. Dave captured the cover of Sledheads magazine several times and his photos regularly appear in most of the major sled magazines. While he might be older than most of the group on paper, you wouldn’t know it on the snow! Dave has been known to jump gaps and drops that even younger members of the crew backed down from (who shall remain nameless…), including the barn jump at The Compound and several backcountry gaps in Utah.

Andrew McCarthy
Quick Bio
Andrew originally founded Boondockers in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and is somewhat of an icon in the snowmobile community. Though he is most famous (or infamous) for the leather pants which he once wore for three years straight, Andrew is an especially talented technical rider who defies age and surgery whenever he steps into the saddle. These days he takes great solace in his role behind the camera, with his blog writings and his new act as a grown up in the international finance community occupying most of his time.
