First Tracks
January 2nd, 2010 by Dan Gardiner
After a slow start to the riding season, our patience finally paid off with a weekend full of deep powder, blue skies, and great rides. A series of pacific storms laid down 3ft.+ of new snow if you knew where to look…
Kris Kaltenbacher (aka Smasher) made the trip out from Reno to ride the infamous Utah powder and he was not dissapointed. Phatty Dyer, Rick Barker, Shane Kynaston, Julian Grimes, Heath Ordway, and myself rounded out the group for the weekend. Smasher conducted extensive studies of the local flora, using his snowmobile to collect samples from aspen trees, oak brush, and several varieties of pine.
Check out a few pictures from the weekend and don’t miss the footage in Boondockers 7!

Had a great time I miss Utah already it was 42 degrees here today when I got home sucks. The snow was amazing out there and I cant wait to come back to ride more Utah powder. Thanks Phatty for letting me crash at your house once again I owe you. Thanks to the Utah trees for being in the way of my riding and for the distruction of my nice bumper. I will rebuild and be back stronger and better. Dan once again you put my worst pic up on the site but that is okay. You dont want to show the world my mad skills and how scared you really are. To all that wonder about the sidehill competition, well I came out with a new sled and ready with no excuses but Dan was not ready because he had a few sled problems and could not live up to his rematch that he has promised. He also forgot the other helmet camera but that is okay I will be back for the much aticipated rematch. As for the tree well a rookie move I dont know what else to say about that. Thanks Phatty, Rick and Julian for the help. Last thing to the JERK that was driving the car on I15 in the north bound lane heading south bound turn yourself in to the nearest police station for being a DUMB A**. Thanks guys see you soon…….To be continuted

Those tree lines of Phatty looked exceptionally good with that Polaris making love to the pine it was stuck against, Smasher sorry you had to watch your sled find a new love!
